We were the first to offer residential air filter recycling as part of our subscription air filter delivery service. The idea wasn’t a "marketing ploy". Rather, it was based on the understanding that each of us makes choices that impact the world in which we live. One of those choices is just to simply throw away the air filters. But stop and think about that choice. The dirt, dust, decomposing feces, allergens, toxins and other contaminates trapped on the surface of your air filter then get released back into the air or even the ground water when carelessly disposed of in a local landfill.

We thought there should be a better choice. Not only is recycling is an important way for individuals and businesses to reduce the waste generated and reduce the negative impact of that waste, it also can Plant a Tree! For every air filter returned to the Fresh Air Club as part of our Air Filter Recycling Program, we will Plant a Tree with the Arbor Day Foundation in our nation's forests. The Fresh Air Club is challenging Members to plant 15,000 in 2010 and 30,000 trees in 2011. We hope this sets an example of how corporations and customers can make a positive impact as good stewards of our planet.
